Here Comes the Dreamer!

Ask God…what His will and His plan is for your future? Ask Him to help you live out the purpose and the calling He has for you. Whatever that purpose is. I don’t know about you, but I am a dreamer. My mind sometimes runs in 20 different directions and I think of things that I wish could be accomplished. I am always jotting thoughts down that come into my head. Sometimes…these thoughts are put into action and sometimes they aren’t. I guess that is the “entrepreneur spirit” that I have in me.

Many people go through life and later regret that they didn’t live out a dream that they had. What are your dreams? Are they God’s plans for you? My hope comes from The Lord and I put my trust in Him! I heard God call me many years ago. Patiently, I wait for God to lead the way and to open the doors. I have not given up! I have tried to seek Him and live my life for Him while waiting on God’s timing!

With all that said, many times we may share our dreams and visions with other people and they are like the “Cold water committee” and they are all negative and try to tell you every reason why you can’t do something. This is what happened to Joseph. His family even went to all means to get rid of him out of their lives. They threw him into a well, they sold him to slavery. They wanted Joseph out of their life because of their jealousy of him. Be careful who you share your dreams with. Unfortunately people are negative and don’t want to see other people accomplish things. Crazy as it is…it is true.

Position yourself around people that will lift you up and support and pray for you! Find your hope and strength in God! Wait patiently and live your life seeking The Lord and His plans for your life and trust in Him!! Don’t give up on what God has placed in your heart! Dreams take time to come true! Hard work and persistence! After all that Joseph went through, many years later his dreams did come true! God is working all things out for those He has called according to His purpose! God tells us in Ephesians 3:20 that He is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”. It’s all for His glory! Is that where you see your dream? Is it for your glory or His?

So…keep on dreaming! Keep listening to God as you seek to bring Him honor and glory! I hope you are finding your hope in Him alone! May all your dreams come true!!

“One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. “Listen to this dream,” he said. His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them. Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. “Listen, I have had another dream,” he said. “The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!” This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?” But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant.”

“Here comes the dreamer!” they said. “Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father, ‘A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!” (Genesis 37:5, 6, 8-11, 19, 20 NLT)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NIV)


Look on the Bright Side!


Ask God…to help you look on the brighter side of life. With the time changing I don’t know about you but I feel like I am waking up in the middle of the night. I dragged myself out of bed this morning after a restless night of even trying to get to sleep. You wouldn’t think that an hour change would make such a big difference but it does. So we have a choice. We can let the lack of sleep cause us to be all grouchy and mean and be ugly to the ones we love OR we can look on the bright side!!

What does the bright side look like? Well…because we have gone into Daylight Savings time we now have longer days and more sunshine to get to enjoy. When you get home in the evenings you can enjoy the outdoors and possibly take an evening walk. Maybe you now get to enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the mornings. The trees and the flowers will start blooming soon. Spring and Summer are coming! With Spring and Summer right around the corner there are more opportunities, including more family time, travel and vacation time. Get out and meet your neighbors! Take a Mission trip! Life is full of opportunities. The world is beautiful! Make the best of every day!

So the choice is yours. You can be grouchy and ugly or you can put a smile on your face and enjoy the day!! Look for opportunities to bless someone and brighten up their day!!

“This is the day which the L ORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalms 118:24 NASB)

Spring Forward…It’s a New Season!

Ask God…to help you manage your time better. We all have the same amount of time in every day. Exactly 24 hours. Tonight we actually lose an hour of time that we gained back in October. Spring forward…to the next season in time! As we ride up the road this morning to pick up our daughter and go to the mountains I reflect on life. The trees are all grey and it is a cool crisp morning. But…in just a few weeks or so the trees will start blooming beautiful purple, white and pink blooms and the daffodils are coming up and will turn yellow. The grass will turn a lush green again!

There has been a time in my life when I didn’t or couldn’t see the beauty of the world because all I could see was my circumstances. I never knew what was going to happen next and my heart would hurt so bad. My marriage was falling apart and everything just seemed hopeless. I was a Christian and would think to myself that “this wasn’t suppose to happen to me”. Spring forward…there is life after pain! Life is full of seasons and THIS TOO SHALL PASS!! IT DID!!

I don’t want to waste my life and just wish my life was different or wish I was something I am not. I want to be what and who God wants me to be! He has a plan specifically picked out just for me and a plan for you too! Sometimes…we have to go through a hard season but hope is found in and through Jesus Christ! He will pick your feet up and put them on solid ground. Seek Him! Trust Him!

We all have the exact same amount of time. How are you managing yours? Don’t waste what God has given you. Don’t focus on things or circumstances that you may not be able to change. The grey trees will turn to beauty and will be vibrant again, just as God wants to turn your darkness into beauty again and bring joy to your life! It’s JUST a season! Spring forward! New life is coming!!

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 15 NLT)

I Have The Scars To Prove It

Ask God…what HE wants you to do? We think sometimes we’ve got it all figured out and really we don’t even have a clue. Our agenda, our plan, our future, our kids, our house, our car. Our? Really? NONE of it belongs to us. God allows us to to manage them sure, but ultimately they ALL belong to Him!

I woke up one morning in February 1986 and went to the Dr to find out that I had Breast Cancer. I was only 24 and this was a major shock. I remember feeling so helpless one minute and then the next I was ready to face whatever….whatever was next. Fast forward a year and I had been through 5 pretty major surgeries and a whole lot pain and numerous doctor’s appointments. Every day I would wake up and thank God that He chose to let me live another day. I prayed to God but I had never asked for forgiveness and asked Christ to be my Savior. I thought I was a Christian but if I had died I didn’t know Jesus and I would not have gone to Heaven. God gave me each of those days and continued to draw me close to Him and since then my life has changed tremendously!! How often do you wake up and thank God for giving you yet another day to live?
He chose me and eventually I chose to surrender my life to Him! My life is His! I don’t know what tomorrow will bring and neither do you! We may be here today and gone tomorrow. How will you choose to live the agenda, the future, the day God has given you? What does God want you to do with your life? He has a plan for you but it ALL belongs to Him!! I am thankful that God has given me each and every morning since those days in 1986 to LIVE LIFE! I want to live it well!

I can look back now to 27 years ago and know why God allowed cancer in my life at such a young age. It was my bottom and the end of my old life and the start of a new life! God loves you! What does He want YOU to do? It all belongs to Him!!

“How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” (James 4:14, 15 NLT)


His Will or yours?

Ask God…what His will is for your life? What His plan are for you and His purpose for you. His will be done b/c it is perfect! Rom 12:2

To learn God’s will for your life He says “don’t copy the behaviors & customs or ways of this world.” God wants to transform you.

How? How does God transform us? He wants us to change our way of thinking. What are you thinking about today? Is it pleasing to your Father?

Good, pleasing & perfect! That’s the will of God!! Why do you think so many ppl don’t follow after God? His will not our way! Rom 12:2

I heard it said before ‘The one thing that gets in the way of God’s will is our will”.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2 NLT)
